Welcome to PADFAS – The Arts Society – Paris

What is PADFAS?

PADFAS, or the Paris Decorative and Fine Arts Society, is a Franco-British society that was founded in 1994 with the aim of enhancing the appreciation and enjoyment of the arts, and helping the preservation of our artistic heritage. The Paris society, as well as many other European and Australian societies, is an affiliate of The Arts Society U.K.

In 2020 PADFAS changed its official name to PADFAS – The Arts Society – Paris to reflect the name change introduced by The Arts Society from NADFAS. PADFAS remains the society’s short name.

PADFAS organises a programme of illustrated lectures in English delivered by leading European speakers, all experts in their fields. Additionally, PADFAS organises

  • private visits to museums or places of particular artistic interest
  • special day outings in or around Paris
  • a spring day trip to explore an interesting area further afield.

What is the Arts Society U.K.

We are The Arts Society. We bring people together through a shared curiosity for the arts.

Our events provide welcoming places – locally, nationally and globally – to hear expert lecturers share their specialist knowledge about the arts.

Our 90,000+ members contribute to and preserve our artistic heritage through volunteering and grants.

The belief that the arts have the potential to enrich peoples’ lives is at the heart of everything we do.

We inspire, we do, we give.
